Oklahoma City Plover Chapter Bloom Aid Period Pantry
The Oklahoma City Plover Chapter recently launched a Bloom Aid Period Pantry, providing essential menstrual products for the local homeless community. Located within a community center, this pantry offers free access to disposable and reusable pads, tampons, and menstrual health information.
By addressing period poverty, Bloom Aid aims to reduce the barriers homeless individuals face in managing their hygiene needs. The Oklahoma City chapter is dedicated to keeping the pantry stocked and accessible, with plans for community events to raise awareness and gather donations, ensuring a continuous supply for those in need.
Plover International's Educational Pamphlets
Plover’s design team has created a series of educational pamphlets on key health topics to accompany their hygiene product distributions. These pamphlets are thoughtfully designed to provide accessible information on various issues, helping individuals make informed decisions about their health.
For instance, Bloom Aid’s menstrual hygiene pamphlet includes a period tracker, practical menstrual health tips, and information on different types of period products. These materials empower recipients not only with supplies but also with knowledge, fostering greater awareness and self-care. By integrating these pamphlets with their distributions, Plover ensures that their impact extends beyond the immediate products, offering valuable resources for ongoing health education.
